Patrick has over 14 years’ experience of consulting on, designing and developing cross-media education and training products and services.
Patrick is a qualified teacher, and former Head of Department at William Parker School, Daventry, Northants. His interests in education are very broad, ranging from cultivating musical skills in secondary schools (he is a published author on the subject), to re-thinking the direction of education policy for the digital environment (he is currently setting up a think-tank called Transform-Ed). He has worked on a wide range of educational projects, including a recent HEFCE “Creativity Incubator” project.
Patrick worked as a consultant and learning strategist for organisations such as PwC and Digital Think before joining LINE. Patrick has a strong background in usability, functionality, accessibility and information architecture. His specialism is in the application of learning theory and best practice learning design processes. He has research interests in the impact of cultural difference on learning technologies and the relationship of network learning to creativity. He is an author of many articles on learning technology and a regular speaker at conferences.
